What the role can bring to you:
Our role offers a blend of strategic consulting and technical expertise. It is responsible for the execution and delivery of the digital analytics strategy (specifically website analytics) across our client-base from various industries including Automotive, Banking/Finance, Travel/Airlines/Accommodation and Health Care. We aim to guide our clients in embedding analytical best practices in their business and need a specialist to ensure this is carried out reliably, accurately and timely.

Key responsibilities will involve the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of analytics solutions for our diverse client-base:

  • Work closely with the Analytics Manager to identify technical and reporting requirements based on gathered business requirements
  • Implement web analytics solutions designed to meet business requirements
  • Independently research and/or challenge technology vendors to address issues, troubleshooting or complex executions
  • Document and record the technical approach; share implementation learnings with the wider RBBi developer community
  • Provide guidance to RBBi Optimise on proper interpretation of analytics output based on their technical knowledge of the implementation

What you can bring to the role:
You balance your appetite to be hands on with day-to-day execution and analysis with the ability to think laterally and solve problems. You have likely progressed your career from coding or web development and are experienced with implementation using either Google Analytics Premium or Adobe Analytics. Experience within a consultancy or agency will help you come up to speed with how we work. You will enjoy collaborating with your peers to innovate and find solutions for your stakeholders.

Experience with the following web analytics solutions and tag managers is highly desired:

  • Google Analytics Premium (preferred) or Free
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Adobe Analytics (formerly Site Catalyst or Omniture)
  • Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager (DTM)

Desirable skills and platform experience include:

  • Highly skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, Angular, etc), HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience working with SQL Databases and Business Object reporting tools
  • Experience delivering code in large complex Digital Experience development organisations is a must, including development of solutions for mobile and desktop experiences.
  • Proficient in digital advertising technologies (Google AdWords, DoubleClick)
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing complex web analytics tagging including tag management system experience, page-level event tracking and custom reporting
  • Experience developing or implementing data layers
